What Happens in a Private Lesson?
Private lessons are specifically tailored to each individual based on their skill level and goals. An instructor will evaluate your driving skills and make suggestions to improve areas of weakness.

  • Each lesson consists of 1-2 hours of behind-the-wheel instruction
  • There is no minimum/maximum number of lessons you may take

To schedule or pay for a private adult lesson, please call (734) 422-3000 during normal business hours!
Please Note: If you are 18 years of age or older, you are no longer eligible for Teen Classes. You must apply for your temporary instruction permit at the Secretary of State. After you have practiced for a minimum of 30 days, you are eligible to take your road test and apply for your license at the Secretary of State.

Not everyone is eligible for Adult Private Lessons. If you have certain cognitive, physical, behavioral, or visual impairments, along with any other special needs, you may need an evaluation with our Occupational Therapists first.
